If I had the attention of the whole US population for five minutes, I would tell them that they do not care about the atrocities that consume our life and may affect our generations to come. This may include global warming or saving our rain forests. We live in a selfish world today that does not care about the consequences of our actions because we simply “will not be around” for it later, so it doesn’t matter to us. Instead of focusing on simple things like how we look or the material items we have, the US must first recognize and be aware of the problems we may face in the future, whether or not we are going to be around to experience them. We are too selfish. This must change or else our future generations will be negatively impacted by our ways today.
